2005 Motion Pictures: Recalling The Year In Motion Pictures

The year 2005 was not a very strong year for motion picture making in general worldwide, and also less so for Hollywood, but there were some great moments on the big screen, of which some are shot in green screen background.

“The Best of Youth” by Marco Tullio Giordana was produced in Italy and shown there as a television miniseries. You can now obtain the DVD on Amazon or Netflix and get ready to hunker down because each disc is more than three hrs long, but it is well worth the time to get to know one of the greatest 2005 motion pictures ever made. It shows the story of two brothers who take different paths in life and the ladies they love, with the background of 60's radicalism and rioting.

“King Kong” by Peter Jackson is a flawed, extremely long effort that's still one of the very most amazing movies ever shot and all due to the characterization of the ape by the actor who portrayed him (yes there is an actor, but absolutely no monkey suit). This remake of the 1933 black and white classic is wonderful after the 1st boring hour. This 2005 features movie stars Jack Black and Naomi Watts.

“Batman Begins” was excellent and features Christian Bale. This motion picture is dark but very realistic. The Batman here is not superhero, only a man on a mission. Really suspenseful and that made this one of the 2005 motion pictures that you cannot forget. This was also the prequel if you know of 2008’s “The Dark Knight”.

“Sin City” with Mickey Rourke is among the most aesthetically magnificent 2005 flicks having its bigger than life movie noir look and comic strip stylizations.

“A History of Violence” directed by David Cronenberg and featuring Vigo Mortensen was bloody and vicious, but in addition suspenseful and packed with shock twists.

“Wallace and Gromit - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” was the greatest of the 2005 movies to showcase animation, and claymation at that. Despite the fact that made for kids, the wit is good for grownups too. Really amusing.

“Kung Fu Hustle” directed and featuring the funny and twisted Kwok Kuen Chan still positions among the funniest and strangest 2005 flicks and is well worth leasing. This is actually the same movie director who introduced us the really amusing “Shaolin Soccer”.

“War of the Worlds” featuring Tom Cruise was in fact remarkable for excellent effects but goes on too long. The end sequence is simply plain boring. The 1st hour though is wonderful and will certainly keep you on the side of your seat.

These are simply a few of the greatest 2005 films that may have used green screen and you'll certainly have your most loved. Get the popcorn prepared, time for motion picture night!
