Margarita pie is perfect for holiday weekend (indystar)

OK, folks, for everyone who wanted the margarita pie recipe, here it is, just in time for the holiday weekend. It was the winning recipe for The Star's pie contest two years ago -- despite being an incredibly easy, no-bake pie (one that uses Cool Whip, no less). I love the pretzel crust -- and I think I'll add a splash of tequila in the filling. I also add a little more lime juice and some grated lime zest on the top, and I freeze the pie before serving. You can also add a bit of green food coloring, if you want. Amazing Margarita Pie -from Mary McCarthy Serves 8 CRUST: 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted 1/4 cup sugar 1 1/4 cups finely crushed pretzels FILLING: 2 limes, at room temperature 1/4 cup orange juice 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk 1 container (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed 1.
