Origami question: What is the name of this star? Can i make it with regular origami paper?

These stars are called Froebel Stars (or Moravian Stars or Advent Stars), first created by Froebel Friedrich. They can be made quite easily from palm leaves. But if you want to make them from paper, you will need 4 strips of paper. Ratio should should be roughly 1:25. I found paper ribbons were excellent for these stars. For instruction/tutorial links, check out: http://origamiaday.wordpress.com/2010/11/11/froebel-star/ The actual star includes 4 loops on either side of the stars, but if you want to make the exact stars in the picture you have posted, you can stop before making the loops and complete your star.
