I bought a christmas tree about 3 days ago. I did not buy the water stand. Christmas is in 8 days will it die?
Yes, it takes less than 48 hours for the tree to feel the effects of living dry and in a few short hours after that you will begin to see the signs. The tree will have a brown appearance all over and the needles will start to drop off. The clean up will be a nightmare when you take your tree down. Needles everywhere!!! Placing a bucket under the tree with lots of water in it will save you the money of buying any gadgets. If you have already decorated it, simply use a shallow pan (round cake pan) and have someone lift the tree a few inches so you can slide it under. Hide the bucket or pan by wrapping it in cloth. White is nice because it will look like you meant it to be snow but any color will do. Please water your tree. Merry Ho Ho!
