Receiving A Letter From Santa
Finally! The day has arrived. As I search through the letters I find that letter from Santa that I have been waiting for. It was postmarked from the north pole and signed with the name of Santa Claus! That's right, I received my letter from Santa! As a child it's the season you have been looking forward to since end of summer. Or if you are like me, you begin looking forward to it and can't wait for Christmas to come again the day after Christmas.
I know that children start making there lists long before Christmas season is even here, because it is important to know what it is you want when the time arrives. After all Christmas only comes once a year, better be sure to get things right. Don't miss out on a letter from Santa.
When you send your letter to Santa with your list of toys and goodies you want for Christmas. It first travels to the post office where it is put into a separate pile and is sent as quickly as possible to the North Pole. Once at the North Pole it is carefully handled by the elves that work in the North Pole branch of the post office. They sort first by how naughty or nice the children have been. After it is sorted into the different piles it is reviewed by Santa Claus himself. Those who have been extremely nice over the past year will receive a letter from Santa telling them how much he appreciates them.
How can you be put on the "nice list"? Well, it's pretty simple, but it might take some effort. Especially if you are one of the children on the "naughty list". You are going to have to apologize to your siblings, your parents or any other child that you may have hurt in any way shape or form. You will want to be sure to thank those around you for all that they do for you. Even if it is a very small thing, people like to be thanked. Also, it might be a good idea to write about the good things you have done to help out in the house or help your parents as you write your letters to Santa Claus. Remember those children who are on the "naughty list" will never receive their letter from Santa.
How do you know if the letter you receive is truly a letter from Santa Claus? Well, there are a few things to look for as you are looking at your letter. First, there should be a North Pole postmark on the top right hand side of the envelope. These North Pole postmarks may vary depending on the elf who marks it. Some of the post parks will have the North Pole on it. Some will have a Christmas tree or maybe even the house of Santa Claus on it, with his red door and magical twinkling lights. Your letter from Santa will also be filled with holiday cheer and will be written in either green, red or gold.
