Santa's Christmas Tech List
It's nine days until Christmas, in the old days that used to mean just seven shopping days but now it just means there are nine days to go. If you were considering doing your Christmas shopping online you had better get a wriggle on as, if it snows like they say it will, deliveries could be delayed. And you know what the consequences of that will be, don't you?
High street Christmas shopping.
And we wouldn't like to have to go there now, would we? Each time it comes around I seem to sort of forget how bad Christmas shopping is, I trick myself into hoping "it can't really be that bad, I must have just been a bit grumpy". Well I certainly was in a blue funk, simply because I was Christmas shopping! I accept that some people like Christmas, they like the decorations and the special treats but it's only mitigation for the horror that is going out into town and battling the hordes as they moon around from store to store. If you want anything good, like a cheap 3D tv or portable DVD players it's far easier to shop for them online, you avoid the hell of trying to find a shop that still has what you want on the shelf and then having to queue for ages before you can take it home. Shopping online is great for getting kitchen appliances too, once you know which slimline dishwasher you want, for example, you just have to click on it, it's not the sort of thing you could carry home anyway so as long as you know the dimensions there's no need to take to the shops.
Shopping online can take just about all the stress out of shopping, if I could I'd do all my shopping online. Oh, hang on a second, what with supermarkets, shoe shops and clothing retailers as well as independents and even artisanal stores all having a website these days I can!
