can u clone something like a cat n use a rabbit to b the host carrier?
like use a rabbit egg cell and a cat DNA cell?...is it possible?....would the rabbit give birth to a cat? or because of inter-species will it just die?
Usually when dna is injected, the dna in the egg cell is destroyed completely first. Im not sure that the makeup of the egg would make any difference in the actual cloning process. The big problem would be, what birth-mother would you use? If you tried to put the rabbit egg into a cat then it would likely not take hold. The rabbit egg would have a better chance of taking hold in a rabbit but then you would be asking an herbivore to bring a carnivore to term. Im not sure that the dietary requirements would be properly met.
