Autumn is just around the corner and now is the time to think about decorating for the season. Gather the family for fall fun with these easy fall decorations! These easy pumpkin carving projects will find the whole family involved with the festivities of fall.
Harvest window box:
Break away from the standard design of chrysanthemums and pansies in the window box. This fall, why not try something new? Add a layer of straw or dried grass to the planter, ensuring that some curtains over the front and sides.
Collect some small pumpkins and gourds of different shapes, sizes and colors, organize these in boxes. For added family fun, let your children paint silly faces on the pumpkins!
If your children are older, metallic paint in deep autumn tones will add a bit of glitz to the display and get them involved in the project.
Pretty Autumn Porch:
Once summer is through, our porches are often left neglected and forgotten. Turn it into a stage for fall decorations! A few easy pumpkin carvings will do the trick. The steps to your porch may be lined with large pumpkins decorated by children as suggested above.
Then purchase of a metal wreath frame from a local craft store and send the boys to the yard to collect leaves. Using floral wire and a glue gun, attach the leaves to the frame. Now the whole family has helped create your families stage.

Sending children to the garden to gather the last flowers of the garden, pine cones, and even thick leaves. Chop them and add them to a glass bowl. Buy your favorite liquid potpourri oils fall odors and mix the entire garden collection.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it set for a couple of weeks and now your family has its own signature potpourri mix!
