Before beginning, protect the counter, floor or work area with a plastic protective cloth. And then spread a layer of paint in the disposable pans, placing a different color in each one. Help your youngster place the palm of their hand directly into a dish of fresh paint, and then use that same hand to make a print directly on the wall. To make an even cuter and more decorative look, show your child how to make a line of handprints across all of the wall surfaces at the same height as a chair rail. Simply use a yardstick and pencil to measure and make a mark on the wall at the proper height, drawing a light pencil line around the whole room perimeter. Then, your kid can just create paint handprints around the bedroom using one or more colors. Another option would be to simply have your child make handprints on sheets of paper, and then place their creations in cool picture frames on the walls. This is often a great way to bring art projects and fun room decorations together.
Art from Coloring Books
Mere coloring book pages may also be used to create eye-catching art for your little one's room. Select a themed coloring book that will match the general style of the room. Next, furnish your child with a nice selection of crayons. Your kids will love coloring drawings that will soon be used as art for their walls. Merely place a few of their creations in picture frames, and hang them on the wall. Not only will their room look wonderful, but your child will also feel the satisfaction of knowing that they assisted with furnishing the room. Once you have a few pages framed, you can continue to update them every once in a while with new colored in pages, to keep the whole look fresh.
