How should I start off with this crafting stuff?
I'm going to start doing crafty things. I know that there are various types of crafts, like ornaments, decorations, drawings, jewelry, etc. I was thinking of starting off making necklace pendants out of polymer clay. What tools should I use?
you don't need many tools but a cheap pasta machine is a must Amaco machine is better than the Sculpey Machine, some clay blades one stiff and one flexable , a piece of glass or a large smooth tile to work on 70% or 91% alcohol in a mister bottle and paper towels for cleaning, automotive sandpaper in 400 600 800 and 1000 grits ( if you want really smooth surfaces and clay ) i would start out with the 6 primary & secondary colors plus black & white (get a few extra white) and mix your own colors. Premo brand clay is probably the all around best clay to start with. If you have a Michaels or hobby lobby store near you they routinely have 40% off coupons and almost monthy clay on sale for .99 cents a block vs 2.49 -2.79 not on sale you can get books at the library and most books have all the basics instruction - have fun, good luck, Jan
