is the punctuation of my poem ok?
im in 7th grade btw..... I have some ballerinas There are 5 to be exact. They were given by my grandma And let’s be honest-they are fat! They wear red leotards And they all look alike With chipping skin and a tutu They are quite a sight. Every year when we put them up They weigh down the tree You could say they look quite rough But they are from Italy. These ballerinas have always been there Each year and year again They are very special to me I’ve never had a Christmas without them. Without these 6 ornaments Christmas wouldn’t be the same They are known as the Fat Ballerinas Maybe they need some names @CHARLIE'S SIDEKICK: yeah. i wasnt sure if u used punctuation in poems so yeHHH
Cute poem! Ok, you need to put periods at the ends of the sentences. You got it right in the first stanza, only you need a dash or semiocolon after the first line. 2nd stanza: after "alike" you need a period. 3rd: period after "tree" 4th: period after "again" and a semicolon or dash after "me" 5th: period after "Same" and dash after "ballerinas" (Dash is like the one you have in last line of first stanza)
