Christmas Play Planning
Christmas is one of the most celebrated holidays around the world and along with Christmas comes the festivities such as work parties, family get togethers, and a lot of the festivities offer a Christmas play of some sorts. Doing a Christmas play such as the Nativity is a classic Christmas play. Family party guests will really appreciate the play and the children will enjoy being in the cast whether they are playing an angel or the donkey the kids love the idea of being apart of a cast and the guests will enjoy how adorable the cast is and takes only minutes to put the play together. The costumes for a Christmas play at a family get together can be very simple as well as well as having a simple exterior set, some people opt for no set and just having the play in the living room using more props and costumes to make the set. Having a narrative also makes it easier on the cast especially if using kids a narrator can guide and set the story for the children and have them just go with the motions and makes the Christmas play a simple fun event for everyone to enjoy.
If going a more elaborate way with a Christmas play it's more chaotic. Which includes casting an actual cast, creating a set and planning a entire script. The cast isn't as flexible unless there are understudies in which the understudy will do a play or two or the matinee to let the main cast have a break or night off. These types of a Christmas play are taken more seriously including rehearsal, costume fittings, set building and not only does it take minutes to set it take weeks or even months. But a professional Christmas play can be worth the wows and usually aren't in private events but are over a months period during the Christmas time.
The set of a professional and elaborate Christmas play are always time consuming but are amazing and by no means simple.
