Selling Gifts You Don't Want But Still Have

With the majority of the country putting a large emphasis on saving money, it's important to try and make some extra cash wherever you can. Luckily, with the popularity of sites like eBay, it's easier than every to take those unwanted gifts and stocking fillers that are taking up space in the house and get some extra cash.

Online auction and sales sites such as eBay are perfect for finally shifting all those items that you no longer use, don't want or don't need. All you need to do is setup a PayPal account, link it to your bank and register on the sites you want to use. Once you've completed these steps, you'll have a working sellers account and can start making yourself some money. Most of the sites use a dedicated system of feedback, so potential buyers can see how trustworthy you are. At first you'll need to work to build up your feedback profile but once you have done, if you can keep the feedback mainly positive you should have no problem attracting bids and sales.

Amazon is the best site to head to if you're looking to sell CD's, games, DVD's, etc. although they have now moved into much wider areas. Ebay on the other hand is much more general and you can sell practically anything, from unwanted 18th birthday gifts to used cars. The only things you might struggle to sell on eBay are personalised gifts, as they're so specific to people.

When you make a sale, ensure you properly protect the item for the post and send it as quickly as you can. Make sure you're also properly honest with buyers on the sites, and you're far less likely to get negative feedback.
