I remember Callie and her brother causing all sorts of havoc,I have a bird clock which calls out the hour different birds for different hours Well they heard it for the first time and they raced over jumped on the window and headed toward the clock and sat trying to figure out how to get to it I heard a crash and found my bird clock on the floor and her brother trying to get the bird. Another time the kittens discovered X-mas ornaments and Navity figures I would wake up with Joseph,or the shepherds or one of the wise men and Callie's brother was not bright when it came to fire My cousin has a old pot -belly stove she was putting firewood in there.Callie raised up on her back legs to observe this and seemed to sense this was dangerous But her brother leaped on the surface of the stove and quickly leaped off and I checked his paws which was fine
When our cat was a kitten, and we only had her for about 2 weeks, she started sleeping in between my wife and I. One night, my wife opened her eyes and blinked them a couple of times trying to focus on the clock. The cat saw this movement and batted my wifes eye, scratching the eye. We ended up in the ER the next day when my wife's eye was very red, watery, and painful. The diagnosis was a punctured cornea and infection. Some antibiotic eye drops and an eye patch, and we were on the way home. Fortunately, my wife's eye was fine a week later. The cat's older "sister" is too skittish to cause any problems.
