Masquerade 18th Birthday Party Decorations?
I'm having an 18th birthday masquerade party. It's coming up in exactly one month october 24th and I need help for the decoration aspects I'm not a big fan of the Mardi Gras purple, green, and gold aspect because some decorations when you see them in stores look no offense but trashy. It's supposed to be more elegant and pretty. I don't mind using that color scheme if there is something actually appealing to hang in the hall. I need help with the whole shabang table cloths, plates, wall decor, also how should I do draping? What's the cheapest method? I'm open to other color schemes also I'm just not sure what I'm gonna have a black dress and a bright pink mask because my favorite color is pink. I doubt that helps but please be as specific as possible. I also need sites and help on where to get this crap from.
You can still rock a masquerade party without doing the mardi gras colors. If anything, stick with the black, pink and then add silver or gold. You can also add a deep plum purple if you want to add a Victorian feel to the party. For tables, you can decorate tables with beaded necklaces (black, pink and silver) and have bowls with water, floating white candles and pink and black rose petals. Another idea is to use different size candle sticks on silver candle holders for an elegant look. For table clothes and plates, stick with white. For napkins, have them in black. For wall decor, you can get tons of masks to place on the walls, but be sure to ask the hall before you do this. Some places are really not into hanging items on their walls. :) Have a great party!
