How long after your baby gets a goose egg is it supposed to go away completely?
Its been three weeks since my 15 month old got the bruise but I can still see a small faint mark and recently I noticed a thin but raised line -like surface around the old bruise. I'm pretty sure the raised surface is recent because I'm a stay at home mom and she is our first and only baby so we constantly pet and adore her.Three weeks ago the doctor assured m she would be fine with ice during a phone consultation. She acts fine. But it makes me nervous with that small ridged line. I think I'll be checking with the doctor soon in person this time just in case!
I remembered my 4 years old getting his head banged by me going down a hill on a sled. The bump was the size of a orange after 10 minutes. Right in the middle of the forehead. I rushed to the hospital and the doctor said it just looks a lot worst that it is. It took about 6 months to mostly go away. Hey just before that he banged his nose on a coffee tabe and cut his eyelid skating. Now he is 26 and got to be an all american. The only broken thing was his big toe at 22. I told him not to go mountain biking with sandals. My answer, bumps and bruises happen but the body is a miracle when it comes to healing. Doctor intervention is needed when you know you need it. Like if the baby broke his arm.
