Short poem I wrote—what do you think?

Hello. I don't feel too strongly about this poem, but then again, I am not a poetess. I don't write poetry often...but I felt like writing this one today and so I did. Do you like it? If so, what do you like about it? What do you think of it? Is there anything I could/should change? Thank you so much in advance! ~Alice E. S. A Poem by Alice E. Severance The Glass Tree Far out at sea, In the midst of translucent water, There is a glass tree, That casts a white shadow, Upon its liquid ground, And the glass peddles reach, To the very point where the earth is round, Where the water is sweet, But not frozen as ice, For every time, The earth turns thrice, An eclipse shines on the tree, And it becomes porcelain, White and lovely and smooth, The moon leaves and again, The tree is glass once more.

enchanting-I could spend a lifetime reading that
