How To Test For Vampires
October 31st is rapidly approaching on the calendar. Soon, witches, devils and goblins will be out in droves looking for candy and trouble. In the past few years the one costume that is the largest seller is Dracula. Because of all the vampires in movies today, the sexy blood gobbling costume is in high demand. Whether it is on TV, in the movies or the latest novel, vampires are everywhere. This kind of vampire trend happens every few years to varying extents. You may notice stuff like bumper stickers stating “I brake for vampires” or little key chains with fangs around them. Basically anything that has to do with sharp teeth, blood and vampires in general appears to pop up everywhere at once. Even people in their sixties will get in on the fun by sporting fake vampire teeth around the nursing home.
Wall mirrors are a thing that seem to sell well whenever this vampire fad is on the rise. Some people who really believe in vampires, whether they may be good or bad, believe that by hanging modern mirrors around their home along with garlic, they can not only tell who is a vampire, but perhaps stop them before they attack. You don’t have to tell your friends why the new interest in mirrors; after all, they may have some secrets, too. So, you might chuckle at this seemingly childlike tactic for one to sleep better, but it wasn’t so long ago that folks truly believed in these flying creatures, along with their ever popular counterparts the werewolves. Perhaps in the future everyone will take family vacations to visit Bigfoot or wear silver bullets around their necks just in case. Once you got back from vacation, you might hang the photo of you with Bigfoot on the wall mirror you use to detect vampires.
This Halloween, attempt to use an antique mirror with your regular decorations and see if anyone asks how come. Also if there really are vampires running around stealing candy, you will be the first to know. Or if you are having a costume party and might have watched the “Twilight” movie series one too many times, your top priority should be to hang wall mirrors throughout your house to be able to spot the lack of reflections of any of your guests. Be aware that you might really run across a partier that has no reflection. What you choose to do then is completely your call.
