civil war?
can anyone tell me the name of some unique, interesting civil war battles? if possible, it would be better if they`re not very well known. i have to do a report on a civil war battle, and i do not want to turn it in and realize i had written about the same battle as someone else.
Well I'm a college student studding to become a history teacher and the civil war is one of the ones I like the best. Most people learn about the key battles, Bull Run, Battle of Appomattox Courthouse, Battle of Vicksburg, Fort Sumter,etc. To answer your question I will try to list battles that I think are still important that don't get talked about a lot. Battle of Fort Fisher, Attack at Trent's Reach,Battle of Hatcher's Run, Capture of Columbia, S.C. and Maj. Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman of the Union Army "March to the Sea". These battles lead to the end of the war. I don't know what you plan to write about but I hope that helps even if it does so just a little. :)
