I'm Starting to Think About Christmas Shopping Early to Prevent Stress
This might be a really unpopular post because I'm bringing it up so early, but the reality is that Xmas is not all that far away. Before you know where you are, there will be just a couple of weeks left until Christmas and the panic would have set in. People will start to break out in cold sweats and worry about what to buy everyone.
Last year it was great as I had lots of time to do my Christmas shopping. I did not have that rush to the shops and I could take a relaxed walk around the town with no crowds and no hassle. Unfortunately this year I am working full time, so I need to be totally organised.
The very worst part about Christmas is trying to find out what the family actually want me to buy them. I do not mind spending money if I know what to get, it just annoys me though when you traipse round the shops, thinking would they like this, would they like that and coming home empty handed.
This year I really want to try and do my bit for the environment and have decided to take a look at ethical Christmas gifts. It is always good when you feel you are helping others, and what better time to do this than at Christmas?
Looking around for gift ideas is a time consuming process with all the choice available, but while I've been at it I think I've also found some lovely table ware so at least I know that the table will look stunning this Christmas.
As per usual my husband never knows what to buy me, so I have dropped a few hints about vases. That way, there are no excuses why he cannot get me some flowers throughout the year. Well as you know, they have to be pushed in the right direction sometimes.
Oh well I digress, I must get back to my shopping lists and see what Great Aunt Gladys wants this year it will probably be the same as every other year pink fluffy slippers!
