How much should I charge?
I make homemade cards, ornaments, birthday loot bags, candy cakes and much more. I need help figuring out prices. If there is something you would buy tell me what you would pay for them. I dont want to over charge and I want people to buy. Thanks for your time.
I've run into this so many times. People want hand-made items at buy-it-at-the-discount-store price. What they don't understand is if they want a mass-produced item, they can pay relatively little for it. Hand-made items cost more. Maybe you have to find a different market. Do something a little extra special and market your items to the haves and not the have-nots. I think what you do is really great. I've stopped trying to sell my items or even get minimum wages for the materials and time I put into them. I now do all my work for my favorite charity.
