A Question to do with my pet spider?
Well.. I found a spider on the floor 2 or 3 weeks ago and I decided to keep it in a cube thing. It's those things you get from those little slot machine's for toys? There are air holes in it . I decided that I wanted to upgrade his home so I bought one of those cup candy containers from 7-Eleven, ate the candy, and then rinsed the cup out. I put 1/4 of a small cracker in there. ( I Crushed it up ) I filled the cap from a water bottle with water for it to drink. I also made it a door for when I can find some insects for my pet spider. I put 3 Tooth pciks in the home for him to have a little 'play ground' and he just yesterday we fed him a Daddy Long Leg. He ate the legs, and left the body in a cob web. So I put the remains in his new home. I was wondering when would he need his next meal? How often will he need to eat? and also Does anyone have an idea what else to upgrade in his home? You could always upgrade to a bigger environment. Spiders can go long times without eating, but if you plan on keeping her ( most likely a girl haha ) then you should feed her at least once a day. If you could maybe describe to me what kind of spider you have i could probably help you better with what type of food, how big and how much you should feed her. And if you can send me a pic that would help even better! As for the upgrade you can go to your local pet shop and find a bug terrarium, which would have better air control and easier access. OH and remember to keep her out of direct sun light, as it could cause the thing you have her in over heat which can cause death.
