Glass bulb christmas ornament?
Hi, I usually make a glass bulb with paint in it every year for friends and family and i was wondering if anybody had different ideas on what to fill the inside with or outside or something. Thanks!
you can get acrylic spheres that snap apart. these are easier to fill, and less likely to break if something hard rattles around and strikes the inside. I've seen them filled with artificial flies, plastic trout, etc for someone who likes to fish. I've seen them filled with dollhouse stuff or barbie shoes. Just pick something the recipient is interested in, and collect a bunch of stuff. For a coin collector, you could maybe put a coin of each denomination, from the current year, and fill the rest of the sphere with crumpled play bills. Your best bet is to use some kind of clear adhesive, or else to glue stuff on little pins to a slightly smaller foam ball, then cover the exposed area in crumpled tissue paper, etc, and snap on the clear part over the top
