For an unused make up box, how long will the make up last before it becomes unusable?
I received a make up kit/box Christmas 2006, and I have not touched it ever. I came across it as I was cleaning out my tiny closet recently. But I heard make up does have an expiration date, touched or not. It has make up for all areas of the face: eye shadow, lip liner, blush, bronzer, lip gloss, lip sticks, and foundation. Even though the make up has never been removed from its packaging, has it gone bad already or will it still last me a little while longer and I'm able to use it without any problems?
Anything unopened and stored at temps between 60-75 degrees, and out of direct sunlight, (your closet qualifies) will last at least 3 years. Any cosmetic in powder form, pressed or loose, should last at least 5 years. For more info on once you open it up , see the site below.
