Moving into new house with my big old dog?
Im moving into a new house in a couple weeks and my problems is im not sure how im going to get my dog into the car, hes 98 pounds at least, 13 years old and has arthritis. He cant even walk up stairs. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get him in and out of the car without him getting hurt? Hes 13 hes had all his shots already, and the last time we brought him to the vet he jumped out the car and almost fell.
They sell ramps you can use, but they are usually pretty expensive. With my big dogs who were not used to getting into a car, I would lift the front feet into the car, and then the back end. Then push :o) You might try glucosamine and choindrotin for your dog - I have had two arthritic dogs, and it did wonders for them.
