May I ask for perspectives on circumcision for baby boys?
Do you plan to/did you already circumcise your sons? If so, is it for religious or other reasons? If not, why? My husband and I feel pretty strongly that should we have baby boys (unless they're adopted and it's already been done to them) we will NOT be circumcising them. You claim there are health reasons, but what are they? I don't know of any reasons to cut off a body part unless it's actively causing a health issue, and I'm sorry but I don't think foreskin is doing just that.
good for you and your husband! though circumcision might make sense if you're a primitive nomad living in a desert region with little water with which to keep the penis of your male offspring clean it make little sense in modern times with modern conveniences like soap and warm running water. OMG! folks are actually advocating genital mutilation of boy infants b/c they believe women prefer mutilated penises. unbelievable!
